Our Mission

By God's grace, Zion Mennonite Church will be a House of Peace where all people are invited to share in Christ's love with each other and the world.

Our Vision

As our vision statement says, “By God’s grace, Zion Mennonite Church will be a House of Peace where all people are invited to share Christ’s love with each other and the world.” Through the power of his Spirit, God has made Zion into a House of Peace even as he continues to smooth out the rough edges of our lives and community. Our hope is that each person in our community is cared for, supported, and encouraged.

Our Story

Zion Mennonite Church was founded in 1955 as a mission to the Archbold community. Over the years, we have learned more about what it means to be God’s community of faith here in Archbold. We have also experienced change. While we value and cherish the history of Zion and the ways God has blessed us, we are also a community that is eager for the new things God is doing (and will do!) in our midst.

Above all, at Zion, we value our sense of community. Our hope is that being a part of Zion is knowing that you belong in God’s family. In God’s family, each person encounters the grace of Christ-like care and support, yet each person is also simply noticed and cherished for being a child of God. As God continues to grow and refine our lives, our prayer truly is that all people who meet us would encounter the Spirit of the living God at work here in Archbold.
