John David Thacker

John David is inspired by the life and teaching of Jesus and aspires to follow him in his mission of reconciliation, bringing healing and hope to the world. He enjoys preaching, teaching, and witnessing God working in the lives of people. Church camping was a powerful influence in his life, and he continues to volunteer at church camps whenever possible. He loves connecting with brothers and sisters around the world through the global church and has spent time in the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, and Ethiopia. John David is a graduate of Goshen College and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. He pastored for 14 years in Anchorage, Alaska and in 2023 completed a year-long chaplaincy residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W. Va. He enjoys reading, hiking, birding, and playing board games.
